The connected rings used for the Olympic symbol, have the colours of red, blue, yellow, green, and black with a white surrounding. All the colours are on every flag of the world's nations. Baron Pierre de Coubertin was the man who created both the ring symbol, and the flag.
With the ring symbol on it, the Olympic flag is taken into the stadium for the opening ceremony. It is then raised up to the flag pole for the rest of the games. During the olympics, the flag will still be flying until the closing ceremony.
