Marking Sunflowers

I had to mark a paragraph about Vincent Van Gogh's FAMOUS paintings. See if you can see the paragraph that I marked covered in purple. You can also look at my results and see if they match my paragraph

Painted on the year 1888, the Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh is an extravagant  painting by this famous, but sad artist. This masterpiece is the size of 73x92cm and is oil painted.

Sunflowers is a very elegant painting with vibrant colours. With only yellow, orange, green, and a little hint of black, this prize possession is REALLY valuable. I personally think that the colours are very happy.

With an interesting texture, this oil painting is surprisingly bumpy! It is very obvious that Van Gogh used A LOT of paint.

While I’m looking at Van Gogh’s painting, I feel happy and cheerful. Although, I have realised that Van Gogh painted about life and death. Sunflowers is just a still life painting of life and death expressed through a rather happy way.

Now I have to try and see the feelings from Van Gogh’s perspective. I reckon that Van Gogh felt happy, since yellow represents happiness. I know you’re thinking WHY he created this painting right............... Well, he made this to decorate his room for his friend, Paul Gauguin, who was coming to stay with him.

I hope that this painting  will be around for MUCH more longer that it has already been. It is so valuable and precious, that a record was broken over $40 MILLION!! It is really amazing.
